The launch of the Revolutionary Communist Organisation – the Revolutionary Communist International in Belgium – took place on Saturday 9 November. Our organisation has made a fresh start with a militant revolutionary communist profile!

Around 100 people gathered to listen to RCO comrades old and new explain the importance of organising internationally in preparation for the social movements and even revolutions that will shake the world in the coming period as the class struggle advances. A number of comrades including Rosalie, Elie, Mats, Abdellah, Timi, Enerel and Rollie explained our perspectives and detailed the work we have been doing. With the exception of Rollie, a former sailor and veteran of the workers' struggle in Ostend, these comrades represent a new layer of young communists, who are fighting for communism in their lifetime. As a spokesperson for the RCO stated to a journalist from the Gazet van Antwerpen: “For us communism is not a taboo, quite the opposite”.

This event’s political discussions were an all-round success. But to achieve our goals of radical social change, we still need to find new future revolutionaries willing to join us in building a Marxist organisation! So if you too think capitalism is on its last legs and will only cause more and more crises if it persists, join us to fight for a different world – a world of genuine equality and freedom, without oppression or the looming horrors of climate catastrophe! That world is within reach, but to realise it, revolutionary organisation is necessary, as the history of social movements shows. Join us! Click here to get organised with the communists in Belgium!
